Laurel Delaney - Brief Bio
Traveling and experiencing other cultures has had a major impact on Laurel Delaney’s art. She studied Renaissance Art in Italy and ancient Mayan cultures and the influences of Spanish art in Mexico. With her recent move to Arizona she has embarked upon a new series of work influenced by the many Native American tribes in the region. She is an exhibiting artist and writer and volunteers in local art based out-reach programs. Ms. Delaney has a BA from Dominican University in River Forest and a BFA from the School of the Art Institute in Chicago. She also teaches workshops in encaustic wax techniques as an affiliate of R&F Paints in Kingston, New York.

Workshop for artists combining ancient art processes with enduring spiritual practices to create a mandala for public display at the CG Jung Center in Evanston.
2003   Alla Prima Art Splash
Organized and emceed event with local personalities and artists working together to create unique works of art. Final works were live auctioned for various local charities.
